I may not agree with your opinion but I’ll fight for your mright to say it.
Thin Air For Sale.

Why is it that so many companies sell things… that they haven’t actually got??? I’m not talking about dodgy sellers on eBay, I mean proper, ‘legitimate’ companies.
My dad bought a bed from Argos a few months ago and when he ordered it they said it would be there within fourteen days.
Guess what; after twenty-eight days he still hadn’t got it.
And guess why; because they were waiting to get one in stock!
When companies advertise products, they do not tell you that they haven’t actually got your item. They don’t hesitate when it comes to taking your money but as far as you getting your goods is concerned, well; that isn’t important!
I don’t think that people should be allowed to do this. If you want to provide a service to the public, then you should have possession of what it is you are selling!
Think about this…
Say that I had a stall at a car boot sale and put up a sign saying; ’22 Carat Gold Men’s Watch For £30’. This guy comes along and decides to buy the watch. He hands me three crisp ten pound notes and I smile at him and say; ‘It’ll be about two weeks before you get it, mate.’
Now, there are a few possible outcomes to this situation…
1. The first one is that the chap says something along the lines of; ‘Oh, no problem, mate. Here’s my number; give us a ring when you get it’.
2. Secondly, the man may be a little annoyed and ask me for his money back.
3. The other possibility is, depending of course on the type of chap he is, that he turns my stall over, punches my lights out and retrieves his £30 from my blood-stained wallet.
Do you understand what it is that I am trying to say? So, if you are the director of a large company and you are reading this – MAKE SURE YOU HAVE WHAT YOU ARE SELLING!!!
Just saw the changes for the Heroes Forum! Not only a superior way to waste time but also fairly functional!
